From KMZ to Accident Analysis Report in minutes
Upload a highway alignment. CrashKit downloads the crash records, assigns chainage to every crash, identifies MoRTH blackspots and writes the standard report - the work that used to take days of GIS and spreadsheet effort.
How it works
Three steps. No GIS software, no manual chainage, no copy-pasting from the dashboard.
- Step 1
Upload the project KMZ
Drop the alignment KMZ or KML of the highway - with or without chainage labels, from Google Earth, AutoCAD or GIS.
- Step 2
Crash data is fetched and located
Accident records along the alignment are downloaded from the NHAI portal and each crash is given its chainage, side and offset.
- Step 3
Download the finished report
Get the Accident Analysis Report, the crash list workbook and a Google Earth file - ready for review in minutes.
Built on the engineering method
The analysis follows MoRTH and NHAI practice, and every assumption is stated in the report.
Calibrated chainage
Perpendicular projection onto the centreline, calibrated to every chainage label in the KMZ. Breaks in the line are joined automatically.
MoRTH blackspots
A 500 m window slides in 50 m steps over the last three complete years: 5 or more fatal/grievous crashes, or 10 or more deaths.
Crash-prone stretches
A configurable watch-list criterion flags stretches before they become blackspots, with dominant crash patterns and night-time share.
Portal cross-check
Every identified stretch is compared with the portal's own blackspot list, so new locations stand out immediately.
What you get
Standard deliverables, ready to review and submit.
Accident_Analysis_Report.docx
Introduction, methodology, temporal and spatial analysis, blackspot profiles, indicative countermeasures and crash-list annexure.
Crash_List_and_Analysis.xlsx
Master crash list with chainage, side and offset, plus km-wise, yearly, time, collision and vehicle tables.
Crashes_with_Chainage.kmz
Centreline, crashes by severity and every blackspot and crash-prone stretch - open in Google Earth.
